2018 FTA Revenue Estimating Conference
Are you a state revenue forecaster, estimator or tax analyst? Then you should have attended the 2018 FTA Revenue Estimation and Tax Research Conference. The conference was held October 6-10, at the Wyndham Bayside Hotel in San Diego CA.
Key economists provided insights on the direction of the economy. State economists and other experts discussed innovative tax policy analysis. And, once again, FTA joined forces with the National Tax Association to leverage the academic community's expertise to help you better understand and evaluate good tax policy.

The 2019 FTA Revenue Estimation and Tax Research Conference will be held at the InterContinental New Orleans Hotel, in Downtown New Orleans. It is scheduled for September 21-25, 2019.

2018 FTA Revenue Estimating Conference - Registration
The Conference Registration Fees are:
- $530 for Government or Academic
- $630 for Industry
- $100 Guest (includes reception & banquet)
Conference Registration Deadline is October 1, 2018. An additional $50 fee is assessed for all on-site registrants who have not notified FTA in advance of their intent to attend. Cancellations after October 1, 2018 (except for emergencies) will be assessed a $50 processing fee.
2018 FTA Revenue Estimating Conference - Hotel
The conference was held at the Wyndham San Diego Bayside Hotel at 1355 North Harbor Drive, San Diego, CA 92101. It is located across from the scenic San Diego Bay and is within walking distance of downtown. Many restaurants are nearby in Little Italy, the Gaslamp Quarter and Seaport Village. The Conference rate
- $160* per night plus taxes - single/double
Reservations All reservations must be made individually through the Hotel's Reservations number or website.
*note, the contract rate FTA has with the hotel is the current Federal Per Diem rate. This rate increased on October 1. While you may have made your reservations under the previous per diem rate ($149), the hotel will charge the current per diem rate.
